Mets Upgrade POS with Bypass

It used to be that peanuts and Cracker Jack constituted a great Opening Day fan experience. My, how things have changed…

Welcome to Opening Day 2018, where the demands for an excellent guest experience, strong revenue growth and streamlined operations are prerequisites at MLB stadiums around the country.

And for 14 MLB clubs and 29 minor league clubs, that meant implementing Bypass technology to handle the crush of the biggest day of the season.

For the Mets and Citi Field, it was the best-in-class EMV and NFC speed of the Bypass + Clover partnership that was critical to their Opening Day launch.

“We had a great Opening Day,” said James Benesh, Director, Venue Services for the Mets. “The system’s capabilities allow us to unlock valuable interactions at the point of purchase, including stored value, branding, and the latest in mobile wallet technology in a fast and efficient manner.”
